Claire has built a truly special place here! The location is amazing, as it is remote enough to feel like you’re living in the countryside but with all the benefits of a thriving town close by. The house is immaculate and always well-maintained, with weekly housekeeping for fresh linens. I also had an amazing group to live with, and we did weekends away, dinners, and activities together. It was the most ‘at home’ I’ve felt anywhere !
This was my first coliving experience, and it was honestly the best start to this lifestyle! Claire is divine – so helpful, friendly and attentive, going the extra mile, with amazing experience suggestions, organizing a wonderful family dinner, and even spoiling us with sweet treats! Pomar is beautiful, with tasteful decor, thoughtful working spaces, very comfortable and well- stocked and appointed. It really was a home from home, with the bonus of an incredible community that will be friends for life ❤️ Thank you Claire for a truly wonderful stay – it was so lovely meeting you, and I look forward to visiting your coworking space dowtown !
There are not enough stars. My experience here for 2 months was nothing short of amazing. The house and property are stunning, with incredible views of the ocean from the roof and the best spot in the area for seeing the awe inspiring algarvarian sunsets. The house has recently been renovated to a very high standard- it was like staying in a boutique hotel with premium details – like rain shower heads, super nice appliances, inspiring decoration and so many extra touches- all designed by the owner herself. The co-working area is great – super fast wifi, computer monitors, printer etc. And there is a wonderful kitchen were so many lovely family meals were made and shared.
Claire the owner is one of the most generous, accommodating and all around amazing women I have met. She goes above and beyond to make sure that every guest is comfortable and getting the most of their stay. She has created a wonderful place that feels like home is very hard to leave! There are so many great activities that she organises from surfing, kayaking, horse-riding, kite-boarding and more to enjoy the incredible location of the eastern Algarve. The location is perfect. You are outside the hustle and bustle of Olhao in the peace of the country side, but within walking or short bike ride to town. Olhao itself is a great place – with an incredible daily fish market, lots of good restaurants and cafes and of course, cobble streets for wondering and having gelato. I will greatly miss watching the sunsets, the weekly family dinners, staring at the stars from the rooftop, yoga on the beach and just a wonderful energy. If you are thinking about booking, do not hesitate!
I had an amazing experience here. this coliving is incredibly peaceful. It’s the perfect place to focus on work.
The coworking space was great bright room, with multiple monitors, comfy office chairs, and very high-speed WiFi. There are plenty of Ubers to get you into town and they’re very cheap.
Claire, the host, was amazing and prepared so many activities for us. She goes above and beyond to make this a great experience. I stayed for a month and every weekend I found something fun to do here. I felt like I had a community of travelers with me during my stay who made the experience more memorable.
I would highly recommend staying at this wonderful coliving and will remember this for the rest of my life! ♥️

Really couldn’t give enough praise to Claire and the amazing place and community she has created here.
We came as a couple both with full time jobs in US hours, so we were initially a little worried that our hours would make things more difficult to connect with people. However Claire made sure that there were plenty of things to do for everyone, from watersports to connecting with chefs to provide cooking workshops, she’s constantly building connections so her community have easy access to unique experiences. She really went out of her way to ensure everyone comes together and enjoys their time here. Her positive and welcoming energy made us feel at home straight away!
It’s been one of our most memorable trips. The accommodation is beautiful and very easy to work in. It’s slightly outside of the town of Olhão but bikes are provided and Uber is very cheap and easy to get around, although if you can rent a car it’s certainly nice to have here, but not necessary. Wifi is also very strong.
If you’re looking for a tranquil and intimate setting to get work done whilst also being able to enjoy time with a great community of people, book this place !

Definitely liked my stay! Olhão is a little on the quiet side so I can imagine that’s not for everyone but if this is what you’re after and don’t mind getting around during your time off, it’s perfect. Claire is very motivated and takes a lot of care about every aspect. She is very well connected to the region and knows about almost every activity which takes place. This makes it very easy to explore almost everything in Ohlao. So nice! POMAR is a great place for productive work. It is very calming and relaxing. The Orchard right in front of it gives it the perfect portugues charm to relax after a day of work. Community events are well organised!
I like about the area that it’s not that trendy and full of hipster places like in other parts of Portugal. There is a lot to discover, activities to do and you will find also some artsy, individual spots like Republica 14, the Figo Café or the Artist Market. So you have a nice combination of authenticity and remote work conditions! To me POMAR is a warm, peaceful place that feels like home after a short time. It’s the perfect place to come back to after busy a busy trip to the city, to the beach etc. It has perfect working conditions and beautiful rooms! And a lovey host 😀

An AMAZING stay. Claire, the owner is top-notch. The building is incredibly well done. The outdoor space (both the rooftop and the back terrace) was very usable.
The community was wonderful. We had a great set of people there while I stayed. The lot of us did a bunch together: surfing, checking out the local bar, going down to Olhao for drinks and food, shopping, and everything else. I would absolutely recommend the place and can’t wait to come to stay here again.
POMAR is a good blend of access to city but quietness and retreat. The Algarve speaks for itself. Sun, blue skies, just stunning beaches, ocean activities like surfing.
Thank you again, the last weeks have been incredible and I can’t imagine how it could have been any better. You have a great place and will sincerely miss it.
Good weather (almost too much, hard to work when it’s so sunny outside 🤣), cheap life, lots of things nearby to do and places to visit, calm atmosphere : I loved it ! Perfect mix between independency and living in community.
