A real community. Built around work, not despite it.
POMAR attracts people who take their work seriously and who also want to be somewhere that doesn’t feel like a WeWork with a pool. Claire and Hadrien are locals. They know the area, the people, the places worth knowing. The rest builds itself: a dinner, a hike session, a conversation that changes how you think about something. You’ll leave with people you actually want to stay in touch with.

Where do I start? Two weeks at Pomar was just what I needed! It was the perfect way to work hard and play hard. I’m so glad I chose this coliving space. It’s in a wonderful location with incredible facilities that are so beautifully designed. I'll miss the beautiful house, my spacious yet cosy and very functional bedroom (it has the most comfy office chair and aircon), and the rooftop jacuzzi to jump into after a hard day working in the very productive coworking area. Most importantly, the coliving space is run by lovely people who genuinely care about their guests' experience. Claire, the owner, and Mici, the community manager, were incredible and really made me feel welcome and at home. This made a big difference to my whole experience. I could sense that they genuinely cared that I enjoyed my time with them and they did everything possible to make my stay as comfortable as possible. I enjoyed the productive workspace, as well as the weekly activities and having some alone time. It was the perfect balance. I loved that you have an inbuilt group of friends to enjoy activities with. I enjoyed cycling to the beach, a beautiful waterfall, swimming in the Atlantic Ocean and a salt and mud bath, to name a few. You also have the opportunity to explore the Algarve solo if you wish. I would highly recommend this coliving space to anyone who wants to be productive and have fun at the same time. I’m so grateful I had the wonderful opportunity to stay in such a special place. I left Pomar and the Algarve with a full heart. I'll be back one day, as Pomar and the Portuguese people definitely stole my heart a little 💛Posted on Google Sonia Co-Living, Co-Creation, Co-Being... and at the same time much space for individual needs. Thats really how it is and why 5stars. Super organized, beautiful place to be and great way of curatingPosted on Google Thomas Peters Had the fortune to spend a month in Pomar. How Claire and the team cultivates the space and experience is truly amazing!! Will definitely go back ❤️Posted on Google Joyce Yang J’ai passé 5 semaines géniales chez Claire à Pomar Base, encore merci pour tout ! C’était tout ce que j’espérais :)Posted on Google Alexane Mrl A Special Place in Algarve I spent a month at Pomar na Praia, and it was an incredible experience. A true escape from the big city, shared with interesting people and a very special energy. Pomar is the perfect place to step out of your routine without losing focus on work. And the sunsets in the Algarve are among the most beautiful I have ever seen. Clair plays a big part in making it all feel this way, keeping the community spirit alive, warm, and welcoming. I would definitely come back for another stay.Posted on Google Karina Motter Dear Pomar, what was that, really? I arrived as a properly grumpy German — slightly suspicious of everything, comfortably stuck in my own bubble, and still recovering from a previous coliving experience that... let’s call it “character-building.” Three months (and two extensions — clearly something went wrong with my escape plan) later, I left... still a somewhat grumpy German — but now with a head full of great memories and at least five people I’d happily let crash on my couch. Which says a lot. So what happened? The location? The house? The people? The management? Annoyingly, it was all of it. Fuzeta is one of those places that quietly wins you over. A calm little fishing town, friendly people everywhere — and despite my best efforts, not a single one of them bit me. Disappointing, honestly. The property itself has its quirks (yes, coworking area, I’m looking at you… and kitchen, you’re not off the hook either). But overall, it’s a great place to slow down. The big garden and that “oh wow, is that the sea right there?” view do a lot of heavy lifting. Now, the people. Coliving is always a gamble. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, and sometimes you’re just confused about what game you’re even playing. Over three months, I got the full experience — but in the end, this ever-changing mix of personalities and ages made it surprisingly fun. And then there’s the management. Claire clearly cares — like, actually cares — about building a good community. Which is rarer than you’d think. Together with the community managers during my stay, they somehow kept everything running smoothly, even as styles and approaches changed over time. But honestly, that’s part of the adventure. So here I am, looking ahead to the summer season, trying to figure out whether this was just a holiday romance with the area… or the beginning of something more serious. Either way, slightly less grumpy than before — which might be the biggest success of all.Posted on Google Thomas Sittig Spent 8 weeks at Pomar Coliving in Fuseta (Jan 26 – Mar 26), and honestly… I may have set the bar too high for any future stays in Europe. Claire clearly doesn’t “run” this place, she pours herself into it. You can feel it from day one. She creates an environment where you don’t just stay, you actually feel part of something. We had two community managers during my time, Sam and Selen, completely different styles, both awesome in their own way. It actually made the experience richer having that contrast. My first two weeks were so packed full of opportunities to connect with my housemates, it felt like a lifetime. The house strikes a rare balance. You can be social when you want, disappear when you need, and no one makes it weird either way. Comfortable, well set up, and in a great location. This was my first coliving experience, and let’s just say… future places have some work to do. I have made lifelong friendships, and I feel that the environment at Pomar made those friendships easy to develop. Claire, Sam, Selen… appreciate you all. You made it special. ~ JessePosted on Google Jesse Frye I had the most amazing stay at POMAR na Praia! I stayed for 5 weeks and it was my first Coliving ever. I loved that I almost immediately felt at home, everyone was so welcoming and the house and garden are so beautiful! Claire always has many great suggestions and connections that you quickly get to know the local activities around Fuseta, which makes you feel like a local instead of a traveler. Together with all the amazing people I met, the work I could do during the week and the activities we did, I think I couldn't have wished for a better first coliving experience 🤗Posted on Google Celyn Design I initially booked a short 2-week stay but ended up staying 5 weeks. I had an amazing time at Pomar. My room was comfortable and had a beautiful terrace where I could relax and enjoy views of the garden. The house itself is lovely and well-equipped. The location is also excellent. I could walk to the heart of Fuseta - an authentic and charming Portuguese village- in just a few minutes. The locals are very kind and you can find everything you need (supermarkets, local market, restaurants,etc.). I will particularly remember my daily walks to watch the stunning sunrises and sunsets at the beach. Fuseta is very well connected to nearby towns and you're never out of options for weekend day trips. The Algarve is also a beautiful region to explore whether you are interested in local culture, amazing beaches, hiking, biking and so much more. Pomar is a perfect place to work remotely. The Wi-Fi is reliable and there are many comfortable spaces where you can work from. Finally, a big thank you to Claire and Sam who transformed a beautiful villa into a truly welcoming home. They made sure to create a community that felt like a family. They were always very attentive, kind and thoughtful. I left with new friendships and unforgettable memories. I hope to return again very soon.I highly recommend Pomar.Posted on Google A T I stayed a month at Pomar CoLiving in Fuseta and loved it. Fuseta is an authentic fishing village, and I could walk or bike to the beach. My room had a terrace with beautiful countryside and Ria Formosa views, the Wi-Fi was strong, and the house was consistently clean and wonderfully decorated. The owner and the community managers were fantastic—kind, responsive, and great at organizing activities and making daily life easy. Living and working in another culture for a full month—and meeting people from all over the world—was a reset in the best way. I’d absolutely come back and recommend Pomar to anyone looking for a meaningful co-living experience.Posted on Google Gail GravesGoogle rating score: 5.0 of 5, based on 78 reviews
